To mark Canada Day, Canadian Ambassador to the US, Frank McKenna, has declared war on the "Fox Factor". McKenna is actively recruiting Canadians living in the US to join his Expat Militia and mobilizing his forces in a mission to counter Fox News' disinformation and negative reporting of Canada. (Take that,
Faux News!)
Operation Outfox Fox's artillery of choice will be psychological operations and will include counter-intelligence and information deployment as McKenna's expat forces invade the US with the following weaponry. The hope is that the troops will liberate their friends, neighbours, co-workers, and even in-laws with the following information:
- Canada is the largest source of imported crude oil in the U.S., bigger than Saudi Arabia or the yet untested reserves of Iraq.
- The country has rotated 13,500 troops in the war on terror, has committed $300 million to rebuilding Iraq and is about to deploy a reconstruction team to Afghanistan.
- None of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorists entered the U.S. from Canada.
- Canada-U.S. trade supports more than five million American jobs
The ultimate goal of this war is to curb the American media's campaign of disinformation and the resulting tide of misconceptions about Canada.
